On to my project..

Today, I have an altered wooden box to share with you. I love cute but easy projects.

I started out with just a plain wooden box that I picked up somewhere. I covered the top with patterned paper by Webster's Pages. I then colored the rim of the lid with a yellow Copic marker. Next, I covered the bottom of the box with some pretty pink checkered paper. I found a cute piece of pattered paper that already had a picnic blanket on it and thought that would be perfect for a Spring project. I stamped an owl on white card stock and colored it in with my Copic's and then fussy cut him and a kite and added them to the top of my box. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out into pieces a and attached them to the top. Lastly, I added some rhinestones and some twine. I think this box turned out cute. I hope you do, too! Here's another picture of it.

Next, you will head over to talented Jessica's Blog.

Here's the complete line up just in case you get lost along the way.

Cards to Share and Upcoming Hop Announcement

Good morning, crafty friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. My life has still be crazy lately and haven't had much time for crafting but I did finally make a couple of cards to share with you. I would also like to announce that this Friday is my Hooo's Ready For Spring Blog Hop! I do these owl themed hops every three months and they are always full of beautiful projects and inspiration. My friends are so talented. We would love it if you'd come hop along with us! Are you ready to see my cards? Here's the first one...

For this card, I started with brown card stock for the base. I then added a layer of blue card stock. The next layer is a piece of patterned paper. I then added a few pieces of washi tape to the side. The sentiment was stamped and the owl is also a stamp that I fussy cut and colored with Copic markers. I pop dotted the owl for a little dimension. That's it..a quick and easy card. On to the next card.

For this card, I started with kraft card stock. I added a few layers of patterned papers and I rounded all of the corners. The owls are a stamp by Unity and I colored in the image with Copic markers. The sentiment stamp is by K. Andrew Designs. I added a few orange gems and some twine on the side. That's all..another quick and easy card.

I hope you like my cards today! Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate each and every one of you! Please be sure to come by on Friday for my owl hop! Have a great week!

Hugs,
Heather Lynn

(Sorry for the blurry photo, my regular died. Please click on photo to enlarge it.)

For my simple but pretty card, I started with a piece of kraft cardstock and added a layer of red cardstock on with pop dots. I then stamped the PWP's bird and flower stamp on white cardstock and then colored in the image with Copic markers and added it on to the card. Next, I stamped the saying and small bird stamp right on to the red cardstock. I then added some black twine and some black pearls for the finishing touches. That's it..easy peasy! Hope you like it!
