Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool for 2 minutes.

If nuts are omitted you can add an extra 1/2 cup of choc. chips.

Mini Album made out of envelopes

Hi everyone, Thank goodness it's Friday! I just recently ordered the Close To My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge from my friend Jackie. (If you need a CTMH rep, let me know and I will hook you up with her) While waiting for it to arrive I found a series of videos by a sweet gal named Vianney using the new cartridge. She made a mini album with envelopes and inspired me to give it a try. Vianney dressed hers up more than I did, but I did actually make one which is good for me! I am always intending to do something and don't make the time to do it. I am going to add a few pictures of my album. I think it turned out pretty cute. If you would like to watch the videos please check out Vianney's channel on you tube here http://www.youtube.com/user/vianneylu1. I hope you all have a great weekend! If you have any questions feel free to email me! Thank you for reading! ~Heather

Fresh Peach Pie

So, I made this a couple of weeks ago when going to a friends crop to scrapbook. I have told a few people I would give them this recipe so I thought I'd just post it here to start. This pie is soo easy and soo yummy. I found it originally online, but I tweeked it just a little.

Fresh Peach Pie

3/4 cup sugar
3 TBSP flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Dash of salt
5 cups fresh peaches ( I don't peel mine)
2 TBSP butter
unbaked pie crust (recipe below or use your favorite)

Combine sugar, flour, spice and salt..add this to fresh peaches and mix lightly. Pour this into unbaked crust and dot with butter. Top the pie with strips (or owls lol) of crust. Bake in hot oven at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.

NOTE: I beat and egg white and brush on top of crust before baking. I also sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on top.

Just in case you need a crust recipe..
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 chilled shortening
4-8 TBSP ice cold water

Blend flour and salt in mixing bowl. Cut chilled shortening into flour mixture until it looks like pea sized crumbs. Sprinkle 4 TBSP cold water over flour mixture and mix gently with a fork. Add more water by the TBSP until it holds together. Refridgerate for at least 30 minutes..roll out with a little flour.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me!
