Glitter chipboard butterfly by colorbox bent for dimension

Happy Spring Card
Hello everyone! Thank you for coming by to visit! Thanks so much to all of my new followers, too! Tonight I got a little time to be crafty and I had one of my new rosettes already made up (from my Martha Stewart scoreboard) and I wanted to use it on something. So, I put this quick card together.
Here is what I used:
Kraft cardstock for the card base
Ranger ink in Sepia for inking and sentiment
journaling block from Echo Park paper
rosette made with core'dinations cardstock
twine by my minds eye
button
atg
That's it! Easy as Pie! (Whoever made up that saying anyway?! Pie is time consuming and messy so I wouldn't call it easy! lol)
That's it for tonight! I better get a few things done so I can get some sleep. Hope you all are having a good week so far! Thanks again for stopping by! Leave me a comment so I can come visit you! :)
Hugs,

Easter Card with Mr.Cricut Crazy's Stamps
Hi all! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a very busy one and didn't have any time to create anything. Saturday was the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Cleveland and then a party after that. Sunday was another beautiful day so I took my daughters to the zoo. So, recently I ordered stamps from Mr.Cricut Crazy and I got them in the mail Saturday. They are so cute! I used them to make my daughter an Easter card..she wanted a pink bunny! Tanner aka Mr.Cricut Crazy has his stamps on sale until midnight tonight. Please go check them out! :) For the card I used the stamps, misc. papers from my stash and some twine. I cut out the butterflies from a piece of patterned paper, I hand cut the fringe for the grass, and used some stickles. Hope you like my quick little card! I hope you all have a great week!! Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
HL

My Top Ten Favorite Papercrafting Tools! What's yours?
Tonight I want to share with you my top ten tools for papercrafting. I would love it if others would do this, too!! Maybe we can all learn about some cool new things that make crafting easier.
1.Cricut Paper Trimmer..love this thing. I can't cut straight to save my life so this is a must for me!
2.Scotch ATG -it's big so you don't lose it. The tape lasts a long time. It is super sticky and works great!! Love this thing!
3.Cricut Expression..you can make pretty much anything with a cartridge! I like that you can cut large objects with the 12x24 mat.
4.Cutterbee Scissors~You can get in tiny spots and corners with these babies!! I love to use them to cut flowers/images from patterned papers! A gotta have!
5.Cuttlebug Embosser/Diecutter-I use this mostly for embossing..embossed papers look great on cards and other projects.
6.We R Memory Keepers Cutting Mat..This is a great cutting mat and work surface. It's magnetic and comes with magnets to hold what you are working on in place. Also comes with magnetic ruler. P.S I'm working on a mini album. :)
7. We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper/Rounder..Make pictures look more professional. Love to use it on card corners and much more!
8. We R Memory Keepers Cropadile Big Bite 2..Works great to make holes and to set eyelets.
9. Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch..It makes a scalloped border with a little hole in each scallop..I love this thing! I use it on everything!
10. Cricut Imagine..Love this for printing images and patterned papers. If you need a certain pattern or colored paper and don't have it, (or you can't find it like me! lol) you can print some up in a couple of minutes. LOVE it!
So that's it..those are my favorites. Please leave me a comment or post your favorites! Thank you for stopping by! Have a great night. :)
Hugs,
Heather Lynn

Layout and a card with the leftovers
Then I used the leftovers to make a card. I used all of the same papers but added a piece of brown cardstock for the card base. I cut the owl with my stampin' up owl punch and added some twine by My Mind's Eye. Done!
All of this took me maybe 30 minutes..that's about all the time I have alot of the time and I really like to finish things. I'm not good at leaving it out and working on it later! It bugs me..lol So, I am hoping to make a bunch of cards just to build up a stash..I am always waiting until the last darn minute and trying to make a card! Then it's late. Hope you all had a good day! Hope you had a little time to create something, too! I will be checking out everyone's creations! Thanks for visiting and commenting! I really appreciate it! ~HL <3

i ❤ bargain shopping!! goodwheel rocks!
hello friends! thanks so much for checking in with me. how was your weekend? too bad it's almost over. so this afternoon i decided to go shopping. for some reason "goodwheel" was calling my name. that's what my kids call it..lol when they don't find anything they call it "badwheel"! anyway, so i went to akron where they have a goodwill outlet in the back. you can find super cheap deals!! it's crazy there, sometimes you have to fight to get the good stuff. (kory, i know you know what i'm talking about cuz you've experienced this at dollar tree, lol) i found a solid oak shelf for 10 bucks, a white shelf for the wall for a dollar, and a few other misc items. this is the shelf~ with the white shelf i bought hanging above it. i decided to put some ribbons hanging from it. so 11 bucks for both things.
so then i hit joann's..oh my, they had a bunch of clearance. i picked up a 4 pack of cuttlebug folders for less than 5 dollars, a decorative corner chomper for another 5, numerous other things for 50 cents to a dollar. then i had to stop at walmart..guess what? found a sugar and spice cricut cartridge for 20 dollars. i've been eyeing that one for a while because it has a sock monkey on it. my son, alex, loves monkeys..ever since he was a tiny fellow he named every monkey he got "tony hawk". so a couple years back he actually met tony hawk and he told him "i have alot of monkeys and i name them all tony hawk"! lol my kids are so funny. back to the bargain shopping..here are the photos..
so, all of this was less than 40 bucks! then the shelves were 11 dollars. i added it all up and i got everything for 50 dollars. i think that's a darn good deal! so, now i have to stay home for a while. so please don't tell me about any great sales..i take that back..i can always sell some jewelry or something..hee hee (gotta love craigslist!!) let me know if you see anything good! thanks for stopping by. leave me a comment and i'll come visit you!
hugs, hl

anniversary card
today i went to a crop at my friend's office. i got to hang out with a bunch of my craft friends. so much fun! i worked on a layout there but didn't get it finished before i left. too much talking and eating! lol tomorrow i don't have any plans yet..i like it that way sometimes. so here is a layout i made of my daughter with her lalaloopsy doll. i used one sheet of 12x12 black paper then a few stickers for the title, twine, scraps from a card i made the other day.
thanks for visiting! have a lovely weekend.

TGIF and celebrate card
yay..it's friday! the weekend has officially started. hope every one has some fun things planned this weekend!
i have an all day crop to attend tomorrow with a bunch of my crafty friends. i'm so excited..can't wait! comment and tell me what you are doing! i'd love to hear about it. :) so, i made another card today just to have when i need one. i find that cards are so much faster so i can actually finish one of them in a bit. a layout takes me forever and i'm usually still not happy with it! for this card i used kraft cardstock for the base, my minds eye papers, (both sides of one) my close to my heart cricut cartridge for the cupcake cut at 2 1/2 inches, ctmh cupcake stamp, (if you haven't seen this the cartridge has stamps with it and tells you exactly what size to cut it so you can stamp it with for a perfect fit) viva decor pearl pens for the "pearls", glue arts dimensional dots, inkadinkadoo inks (brown and black), a piece of ribbon from my stash, and my threading water border punch by fiskars, and a stapler. i have had the viva decor pearl pen for a long time and never think to use it. i think it looks pretty nifty! lol well, that's my card for today, kids! ;) thanks so much for dropping by! i hope you have a great, crafty weekend! xo,hl

panda birthday card
hi friends! hope this post finds you all well! so, i've been pretty
busy the past few days but i have managed to find time to do some crafting. tonight i put this card together for a friend that has a birthday coming up. it didn't take me long because i already had the panda cut out. sometimes when i'm in a cricut cutting mood, i cut a bunch of cute stuff to use on projects later. so, for this card i used the pagoda cricut cartridge, core'dinations cardstock for the card base, a piece of kraft and red paper from my scrap basket, stampin up ink, and a ctmh stamp. i also used some little chipboard shapes from my stash and a piece of sheer ribbon. if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! i hope you all enjoy your week! can't wait for this weekend, i am going to a all day crop on saturday..yay! hope you all have some fun things planned as well! thanks for stopping by! please comment so i know you came and i'll be sure to visit your blog as well! hugs, hl

my interpretation of Kory's sketch
hey friends, the weekend is getting closer! yahoo! hope everyone's doing well. :) so, tonight i was going to go over to kory's blog to look up a sketch he posted several days ago (when i did the first one)..well,when i got there, he had posted another one today-just my luck! so, i went ahead and grabbed some papers and put this page together tonight. i used the dcwv green stack. this one has been around for a few years but i still LOVE it! for the title i used thickers (lullabye). i did add a little yellow paint but i don't know if you'll be able to see it. i need a new camera. i took this photo of my 3 boys and dog back in november they were out exploring being boys..lol well, thanks again, kory, for sharing another one of your sketches. can't wait to see what you do with it! visit kory's blog here http://scrapiverse.blogspot.com/! have an awesome evening! ~hl
