Owl Be There

Good morning, friends! How's everybody doing? I hope you all are having a great week so far! I just wanted to come by and share a card I made over at Jessica's last week. I haven't had much time for crafting lately but I did finally get my craft room cleaned up last night. Now, I am hoping to be able to make some things now that I have a spot cleaned to actually work! lol I have out grown my craft room. AGAIN. lol Each time I move to a bigger space and then I just fill it up. I need to get to work and start using my stuff! :) So here's my little card...

I made this card for a very special friend. I don't know all of the products since I used Jesssica's supplies. I know the cardstock was by Core'dinations and the twine is by The Twinery. The stamps are by K. Andrew Design and the fabric covered button was made by us at Pinque Peacock. Very simple design with the washi tape. Have I mentioned I LOVE washi tape? I love washi tape!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a lovely day!

Shrooms and Blooms Blog Hop

Welcome to the Shrooms and Blooms Blog Hop!

We are so happy to have you join us today! You won't want to miss out on any of these whimsical mushroom projects!

One grand prize winner will win a the goodies pictured at your first stop (Jenn's Blog)! Please be a follower and leave a comment at all of the stops in the hop for the chance to win. There will also be other blog candy along the way! Make sure you return to Jenn's Blog and link up to be in the drawing for the goodies :)

For my first project, I made a quick little card.

I started off with Kraft cardstock and then used some patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Apple Cider collection. I stamped right on a printed paper, then colored in parts of the image with Copic markers. I inked all of the edges with Vinatge Photo Distress Ink then added some little hearts and twine and voila..it's done. The stamp is a Itty Bitty by Unity that my friend Jessica gave. Thanks, Jess!

Here's my next project that I made to share.

For this project I started with a 35 cent wood frame that I picked up at Goodwill. I painted it with acrylic paint and then glitter blasted it with Krylon Glitter Blast Spray Paint. I used the Paisley Cricut cartridge to cut the mushroom and "totally". The little flowers are made from felt and were in my stash. The sentiment stamp is by K. Andrew Design from the set "Owly Hoo". I pop dotted the butterfly for extra dimension.

Thank you so much for hopping with us today! I know you will get lots of inspiration from this list of talented crafters!

    Card Creating Tuesday-Noel

Hi crafty friends! I hope this post finds you all safe and sound! Today is Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room. I made a quick and easy card to share with you. Here is is...
I started with red cardstock and folded it for my card base. I then inked all of the edges with Vintage photo Distress Ink and a dauber. My next layer is paper by Echo Park from the Very Merry Christmas collection. I then inked all of the edges of that paper and adhered it to my base.
The next layer is the pretty wreath that I cut using the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge. I cut it out at 5 inches and then inked the edges and added it to my card. I stamped the word Noel on a piece of matching red cardstock and attached it to my wreath. I added a few Doodlebug Designs buttons and some twine from The Twinery.
That's all for my cute and simple card. I hope you like it! Please be sure to head over to My Cricut Craft Room and see what my design team sisters have made to share with you today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thinking of You and a Gift Bag

******If you are looking for the My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Click HERE.

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I went to a crop yesterday and made 2 projects to enter in a couple of challenges and I wanted to share them with you. Here's what I made..
For this card, I started with kraft cardstock. The patterned papers and paper embellishments are all by Authentique. (My sweet Jessica gave them to me.) The gun metal pearls are by Want 2 Scrap. (Jess gave me those, too.) The crinkle ribbon is by 3 Girl JAM and it's Antique White..so pretty. I used my bow maker by 3 Girl JAM to make that cute little bow. It really makes bow making sooo super easy!! The stamp is by The Crafts Meow. I am going to enter this card into the "Anything Goes Challenge" over at the 3 Girl JAM Challenge Blog.

    On to my next project..
I started with a little kraft colored gift bag and added some pink polka dotted paper from my scrap pile. the next two layers of papers are by Webster's Pages. I cut a little die cut out with my Slice machine and added the Hoot Hoot sentiment. The little owl is a stamp but I am not sure what brand it is, it was a gift from my other friend Jessica I colored in the flowers on the owl with my Copics and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink. The little pink ribbon is a punch and the pink fluffy trim is by Webster's Pages. I would like to enter this little bag into the challenge over at the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog. This week's challenge (ends tonight) is called Save the Hooters.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today! Hope you have a wonderful day!

For my card, I started with kraft cardstock. (My favoritest cardstock ever!) Then, I stamped my "Love Mug" stamp twice on another piece of cardstock and fussy cut just the mug out. (It also has a muffin next to it originally.) I colored the mugs with my Copic markers and pop dotted them on my card. I then stamped the sentiment "Expresso Yourself and the added some washi tapes. That's it! I hope you like it!

    Everything is better with...

Hi crafty friends! Hope all is well with everyone! It's rainy and gloomy here today..good day for crafting. :) Today, I have a card to share with you. It's different than my usual card. Here it is~

For my card I used Fresh Brewed Designs stamp called "Love Mug". I started with a piece of yellow cardstock, then scored and folded my card. I stamped and colored in the image with EK Success archival colored pencils. I inked/distressed the edges and placed it on a cute piece of pink patterned paper, then inked those edges. I glued the image down to just the left side of the card so I could still open the flap. Next, I took a piece of brown patterned paper and used my border punch, then added it along the bottom of the card. I glued and tied some ribbon around then tied a bow to hold the card closed. I added some buttons for added cuteness. I inked all of the edges of my card. On the inside I added the word coffee and some more matching papers from the front of my card. That's it! I think it turned out pretty cute. Here are a few more pictures~

I hope you like my card today! I am entering this into 2 challenges. Fresh Brewed Designs Distressing Challenge and Craft Your Passion BINGO Challenge. I used yellow, border punch, buttons. Thank you so very much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your day!

    Mermaid card-from the heart

Hi crafty friends! Hope you all are doing well! The weekend is drawing nearer..I can't wait! I just wanted to share a little card I made with you~

I started with some kraft cardstock, added a piece of blue from my scrap pile, then added a cute little piece of blue chevron to imitate waves. I fussy cut some clouds from some patterned paper and added them on top. I used the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge for the orange diecut. I then used misc. K.Andrew Designs stamps, colored the images in, then fussy cut most of them with my cutterbee scissors. I hand cut the little "island" and then added stickles for a little added sparkle. (The colored pencils are by EK Success.) The twine is by Doodlebug and it's called "swimming pool". This is something different for me..I don't usually color in stamped images but I had a lot of fun doing it!

Hope you like my little card today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

A card to share and kids can REALLY help in the craft room!

Please click HERE to enter my 250 follower giveaway!

Happy Sunday to all of you! Hope you have had a great weekend so far! I have a card to share with you today and a few tips on how you can have your kids help you out in your craft room. It really does help you out and it keeps them busy while you are getting your craft on. ;)

So, I went to my friend Jessica's recently and we got to craft together for a bit. I made a few projects and today I want to share this super quick and easy card!

For this card I used Core'dinations glitter cardstock (that I picked up for 4/$1 at Joann), black cardstock from my stash, a piece of patterned paper from K&Co Edamame stack (that I picked up for $6 on clearance at Joann). some chevron washi tape I snagged from Jessica, some black twine, and a hoot hoot stamp by inkadinkadoo. This card seriously took me maybe 10 minutes! I think it turned out pretty cute for such a quick card. Hope you like it, too!

Now it's time to share a few hints with you that might let you get some crafting done if you have little ones around.

Kids love to use the Cuttlebug! We like embossed papers! Here's what you do..you get out your Cuttlebug, a bunch of papers in different colors and sizes, and all of your embossing folders. Show your little one how to use it a time or two and let them at it! They will have a blast embossing all of your papers in different colors with different embossing folders! Then put them all together so later you can grab the stack of already embossed papers and grab the perfect one to go with the project you are working on! Saves time and keeps the kids out of your hair for a bit, too! LOL Here is Gretchen getting her Cuttlebug on..
Another tip is to do basically the same thing but with punches. Get out all of your punches, lots of scrap papers and let the kids use up your scraps and make you some shapes to use at a later time. These are also great to let your kids glue down when they want to make a card or project while you are crafting. I hate to throw away scraps, so I love to try and use every bit I can. (even though I have a gazillion sheets of paper!!! LOL) Here's Gretchen making me some cute punched goodies..
My last tip for the day is to have your kids help you organize in your craft room. Kids love to help so take advantage of it and let them help you out! :) I always have a big thing of scraps..I have a shelf I use to organize them by color but when I am crafting I tend to just throw them in a basket. I give the basket to the kiddos and have them separate them all out my color. They are learning colors in the process..see..it's not ALL just for fun! ;) Then after they get them separated you can either put them on a scrap shelf like I have or in drawers or even in gallon size ziplock bags. It sure makes crafting easier when you are organized! You can also have them separate buttons, brads, etc by color, too! You get the idea.

I hope you all enjoyed my tips for today! Please leave me a comment and tell me how your kids or grandkids help you in the craft room! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! I appreciate it so very much!
